Celebrating the 100th day of school is a special milestone for students that should be celebrated in style! There are countless ways to make this special day even more memorable – from fun decorations to engaging activities. Get inspired with these ideas on how to make your 100th day of school celebrations unforgettable!
Decorate with DIY Centennial Creations
Getting your classroom, your hallway, and even your entire school in the celebratory spirit is easy with some simple decorations.
First of all, an ABSOLUTE MUST is to get your entire hallway involved in the fun! We created this “grand entranceway” a couple years ago and the students went CrAzY for it! ( We just used a bed sheet, tempera paint, and some masking tape to hold it up!)
My second MUST is to decorate your classroom door! Yes, of course there are going to be quadruple the number of bathroom and water fountain breaks as usual so that the kids can duck under the streamers…but so what…you knew this day wasn’t going to be a normal day anyhow!
I add the pictures to these adorable poem templates and hang them in the hallway the night before the 100th day for a 100th day SURPRISE! . SO…MUCH…FUN!
Then I have the students complete the writing activity about the positive aspects of having aged 100 days!
Whatever you decide to do, it’s sure to be a memorable way for everyone to mark this special occasion!

Thank you for being here! I love sharing ideas with other teachers! If you are looking to enhance your teaching and build a positive classroom community, you have come to the right place!
I saved this until we got closer to our 100th Day (next Friday). Such fun ideas! I have not seen the measuring with 100 kids. My kiddos would love that. One of my favorites is the making a picture out of the number 100. Hope you had a great long weekend!
